The Will Carter Band Drops a Trail of Music Crumbs on March Towards 2026 Album
Houston, TX (February 12, 2025)- The Will Carter Bandcontinues their steady gait through the Texas music landscape in 2025 leaving a year-long trail of music crumbs before the drop of their next full-length album in 2026. Their 2024 album Had It All Wrong was a return musically to Carter’s native Texas influence with the album seeing four Top 30 singles in Texas before the album was even released. It also won favor from music influencers including American Songwriter Magazine, CMT and Americana Highways. Now, as the band gears up for the recording of their next album, 2025 is already chock-full of brand new music coming out throughout the year. First up on February 14th, valentine lovers will have the perfect audible pairing to the perfect love match with the release of “Masterpiece,” a bewitching serenade featured on the EP of the same name that will follow on June 20th. With no intention of letting off the brakes “What We Do In The Dark” will be released on March 28th and “Country Boy” will round things out on May 9th right before the EP this summer. By the time August rolls around, fans will start getting small tastes of the new album with a couple of single releases. www.willcarterband.com
In January 2024, the band spent 3 days/nights in Kilgore, Texas with producer Chad Maudlinwho produced two songs on their previous album including “Had Me At Goodbye,” which won Single of the Year at the TCMA Awards. The band showed up with 5 songs already finished and wrote 3 more that same night. By the third and final day, they had recorded 8 songs that will be featured on the 2026 album. “Growing up I listened to very traditional country with my father while my mother preferred classic rock”, recalls Carter. “Writing and recording with my bandmates who are predominantly rock players lends a much edgier sound to this album, and Chad’s balance between creative freedom and guidance behind the board makes him feel like a member of the band.” Maudlin couldn’t agree more as his philosophy is always all about collaboration, and he was amazed to witness that in its truest form when Carter began singing lyrics to a new song called “Water Tower” and his bandmates conjured the music on the spotwith cameras rolling. This from-the-ground-up songwriting as a unified group is a key elementto the soul of the Will Carter Band, and their evolution on this new forthcoming albumshowcases a band turning a corner. “This new album is without question a 2-step towards a more rock sound,” says Maudlin. “It’s an authentic offering of really honest music. I think this newer sound is the bona fide Will Carter Band.” Keep tabs on their website for updates on new music releases.
